ATC Careers

The FAA is hiring! If you are 30 years of age or younger, or were a former PATCO controller (any age), the FAA will pay you to play! Salaries start around US$80K (after the two- to three year certification process).

The quickest way in is to enroll at an approved controller school, which are usually six months of easy classes, low- or no tuition, then upon successful completion you "will" be hired. This link at St. Cloud State College has further links to most or all of the schools offering official FAA programs in the U.S.  (Former PATCO or military controllers should contact their regional FAA office directly).

If you have information on becoming a controller in other parts of the world, please email us and we'll put it on this page.
